Young Americans have been looking for better places to move, work and develop businesses. A large proportion of Young Americans, aged 18 to 34, want to own a home. A bright opportunity is to move to the Charlotte NC metropolitan area, where one option is buying a home in York County, South Carolina just over the border. Charlotte is the fastest growing city and a major banking center. The National Association of Home Builders has been urging young people to buy home, especially with the continued historic-low interest rates on mortgages.
It’s good to remember the rural side of life in York County. A big benefit to buying a home in York County is that though you are in a major metropolitan area, there are still some great places to go fishing. King’s Mountain State Park is one of the places where there are plenty of ponds to go fishing. Other places to go are the nearby National Military Park and the Fort Mill Access Area, that contains the Catawba River and the Wylie Dam. It’s great to have a home near work and city life and also the simple pleasures of country living.
